Website Pages

Edit system routes and create custom pages with the visual page builder.

Last updated 19 Oct 2026

Manage your homepage, course catalogue, locations directory, custom pages and articles from one workspace. The visual page builder lets you add branded sections to the fixed /courses and /locations routes as well as build custom pages such as About Us, Contact and FAQ.

Editing the course catalogue and locations directory

Go to Marketing → Pages, then choose:

  • Edit catalogue to customise the sections and SEO for /courses
  • Edit directory to customise the sections and SEO for /locations

The course and location listings are locked system blocks. Drag the block within the page builder to place your own sections above or below it. The listing remains connected to your published courses or locations and cannot be removed or replaced. The routes also stay fixed, so existing links continue to work.

Use Manage course pages or Manage location pages when you want to edit an individual /courses/{slug} or /locations/{slug} page instead.

Viewing your pages

Go to Marketing → Pages in the sidebar to see all your custom pages.

The list shows:

  • Title: Page name
  • Slug: URL path (e.g., /about)
  • Status: Draft or Published
  • Updated: Last modified date

Note

Your homepage is managed separately in Marketing → Homepage and is marked with a badge in the pages list.

Creating a new page

Start creating

Click Add Page in the top right corner.

Set page details

Enter the basic page information:

TitleRequired

The page title, shown in the header and browser tab.

  • Maximum length: 200 characters
  • Example: "About Our Organisation"
SlugRequired

The URL path for your page. For example, entering about creates the page at yoursite.com/about.

  • Allowed characters: Lowercase letters (a-z), numbers (0-9), hyphens (-)
  • Cannot start or end with: Hyphens
  • Cannot contain: Spaces, uppercase letters, special characters
  • Must be unique: No two pages can have the same slug
  • Reserved slugs: articles, courses, locations, login, enrol, portal, auth, api, check-email

Examples:

  • about-us
  • contact
  • faq-2024

Add content

Use the page builder to add widgets (sections). Click Add Section to choose from 20+ widget types including:

  • Hero Banner
  • Rich Text
  • Image Gallery
  • Call to Action
  • FAQ Accordion
  • Testimonials
  • Team Members
  • Stats / Counters
  • Pricing Tables
  • Map Embed
  • Divider / Spacer
  • And more

See Homepage Builder for details on each widget.

Choose widget variants

Most widgets offer multiple layout variants. When editing a widget, use the variant selector at the top to pick a layout style. For example:

  • Hero: Classic, Split, Minimal, Video
  • Pricing: Cards, Columns, Simple
  • Divider: Spacer, Line, Dots, Gradient
  • Map Embed: Full Width, Card, Split
  • Columns: Two, Three, Four, Row (items wrap), Sidebar Left, Sidebar Right

The variant selector shows all available layouts for that widget type.

Compose layouts with Columns

The Columns widget (under Layout & Structure) places any sections side by side, text, images, buttons, even another Columns section, up to three levels deep, so you can compose bespoke layouts without a designer:

  • Spacing, vertical alignment, and section height controls sit at the top of the Columns settings.
  • Add or remove columns (up to six); the Row (items wrap) variant flows items on one line and wraps onto a new line on smaller screens.
  • Style a column as a Card to draw it as a bordered panel in your brand colours.
  • Small building blocks: Heading, Text, Icon, Image, Button: are made for composing inside columns: mix them to build feature cards, stat panels, or step-by-step rows.
  • Choose whether columns stack on phones, on phones and tablets, or never. Row layouts wrap automatically.

Check each screen size

Use the Phone, Tablet and Desktop controls above the preview to check the page at each breakpoint.

Every section's Design tab includes a collapsed Responsive group. Use Hide on to hide that section from phones, tablets or desktops. Hidden sections remain visible but ghosted in the editor so you can always find and edit them; visitors on the selected screen size do not see them.

Choose the section width

The Width control in the Design tab now includes Edge to edge. Use it when a section's background and content should reach both sides of the browser. Full width keeps the content inside the site's normal outer gutter.

Set SEO

Configure search engine optimisation in page settings (cog icon):

Meta Title

The title shown in search results and browser tabs. Defaults to the page title if left blank.

  • Recommended length: 50-60 characters
  • Maximum length: 200 characters
  • Tip: Include your organisation name at the end (e.g., "About Us | Your RTO Name")
Meta Description

A brief description shown in search engine results below the title.

  • Recommended length: 120-160 characters
  • Maximum length: 500 characters
  • Tip: Include a call-to-action and relevant keywords

Publish the page

Click the Publish button in the top-right to make the page live. The page status badge updates to show "Published".

Start from a template

Empty pages offer Start from a template: curated starter layouts you apply and then make your own (applying is an ordinary unsaved edit; nothing goes live until you save and publish). Alongside the classic starters (Landing page, About us, Course catalogue, Contact), there are templates shaped around different kinds of training organisations:

  • Trades & construction: workshop-forward, with funding eligibility guidance, a photo gallery and popular courses
  • Short courses & tickets: search-first booking page with quick links for first aid, RSA and licence courses, plus real enrolment FAQs
  • Campus & community: media-rich campus life: photo carousel, gallery, trainers and student voices
  • Employer & workforce: for employer-facing delivery: onsite training, workforce records and a corporate call-to-action

Every template ships with stock training imagery you can swap for your own photos. All copy is a starting point: replace placeholder people, quotes and employer logos, verify service and support details, and confirm any funding or subsidy statement against the relevant scheme before publishing.

Publishing and unpublishing

Each page has a status badge (Draft or Published) shown next to its title in the editor. Use the Publish / Unpublish button in the top-right header to toggle visibility:

  • Publish: Makes the page live on your website immediately
  • Unpublish: Reverts the page to Draft, hiding it from visitors

A confirmation dialog appears before each status change. The status change saves automatically, no need to click Save separately.

Editing a page

Click on any page in the list to open the editor. Make your changes and click Save Changes in the bottom banner. Use Discard to revert unsaved changes.

On desktop, opening a page or article editor temporarily collapses the navigation sidebar to give the canvas more room. Leaving the editor restores your previous sidebar preference.

AI content generation

Click Generate with AI to auto-generate page content. This is useful for quickly scaffolding an About Us, FAQ, or other standard page. You can then customise the generated widgets.

Deleting a page

Open page settings

In the page editor, click the settings (cog) icon.

Delete page

Click Delete Page and confirm.

Warning

You cannot delete the page set as your homepage. Change your homepage first if needed.

Common pages to create

Consider creating these pages for your RTO website:

PageSlugPurpose
About Us/aboutYour organisation's story and values
Contact/contactContact details and enquiry form
FAQ/faqFrequently asked questions
Funding/fundingGovernment funding information
Student support/student-supportSupport services and contact pathways
Careers/careersJob opportunities

Linking to pages

Once published, link to your pages from:

  • Navigation menu: Add to your website header via Website Branding
  • Other pages: Link using the Rich Text widget
  • Homepage: Add CTA buttons linking to pages

Redirect an old address

Open Marketing, then Redirects, to send an old page address to its replacement. Choose a permanent redirect for a lasting move or a temporary redirect for a short-lived change. Review the source and destination before saving. Removing a redirect leaves the destination page intact.
