Accessing the homepage builder
Navigate to homepage
Go to Marketing → Homepage in the sidebar.
Start editing
The page builder opens with your current homepage content (or a blank canvas if starting fresh).
Adding widgets
Click Add Widget to insert a new content block. Available widgets:
Hero Banner
A large banner section, perfect for the top of your homepage. Supports multiple slides that rotate automatically.

Tips:
- Keep headlines short and impactful
- Use high-contrast images so text remains readable
- Add 2-5 slides for variety without overwhelming visitors

A search bar for visitors to find courses.

Art direction
Every section has a Design tab, and images have their own shape controls, so a section can be more than a block of text on white.
Images
ShapeCrop the image to a fixed proportion: Original (its own height), Square, 4:3, 16:9 or 3:4. Choosing a shape keeps every image on the page the same height, which is what stops a row of photos looking ragged.
CropOnly appears once you pick a shape. Fill crops the image to cover the frame; Fit shows the whole image inside it, which can leave space at the sides.
TintDarkens the image. Use it when text or a button sits over the top.
Section backgrounds
On the Design tab, Background now offers Gradient and Image alongside the plain colours.
- Gradient blends your brand and accent colours. RTObase adjusts the blend so your text stays readable across the whole band.
- Image puts a photo behind the section. Pick or paste an image, then set Image tint to control how dark the photo sits behind your text.
Tip
A background photo is how you build a hero banner: add a Rich Text section with your headline, then set its background to an image.
Warning
Setting Image tint to None puts your text straight onto the photo. Busy or pale photos make text hard to read, so check the result before you publish.
Arranging widgets
- Drag and drop: Reorder widgets by dragging them
- Edit: Click the pencil icon to modify settings
- Delete: Click the trash icon to remove a widget
Preview and publish
Preview changes
Click Preview to see how your homepage looks on the live site.
Save changes
Click Save to publish your changes. They appear on your website immediately.
SEO settings
Meta TitleThe page title shown in search engine results and browser tabs. Keep under 60 characters.
Meta DescriptionA brief description for search engines. Keep between 120-160 characters for best results.
Tip
Include your main keywords naturally in the meta title and description to improve search visibility.
